Our Area's of Work Print

Our ultimate goal is to help people realize the necessity of a balanced life.  So we endeavor to build in the lives of everyone we come into contact with a balance between the Spiritual and the Practical Aspects of Everyday Life.  As a result, there are three areas of work in which Word of Faith must influence in a significant and pronounced way, if we are to "Bridge the Gap Between the Church and Community," and reach a true level of sustained success in Christ Jesus.    The first area deals with the SPIRITUAL WORK of the church.  Next, is the HUMAN/COMMUNITY WORK and lastly is the BUSINESS WORK of the church.

Just like any successful organization or business, we must achieve success in all of three areas in order to accomplish the common and uncommon things God has promised for Word of Faith.

SPIRITUAL WORK:

This work deals with spiritual growth and development. We have to prepare everyone to be victorious in everyday life. We must show them the urgency of moving from a point of just "believing God can," to "knowing God will!" Everyone must be given the necessary tools to rise above their situations, to levels of satisfaction and spiritual excellence/maturity in all things. Everyone must know and understand their value to God and to His body, which is the church. In order to accomplish Gods’ will we must learn how to work together and realize that we are not in competition with other individuals and/or other ministries.

HUMAN/COMMUNITY WORK:

This work deals with the everyday personal and practical needs of the people in our church and our community. We need to empower people to never settle for less than what God has for them. This work deals with the practical things such as financial health and literacy, parenting, continued counseling, domestic violence, at risk children issues, community & economic growth and stability for communities and families, continued education (for adults and the youth), housing, marriage, life training skills, Leadership Development and etc. Within our counseling there are two separate components we consider, the spiritual realm and the professional realm. The spiritual realm is where the church operates; however, the professional realm is done in conjunction with the appropriate subject matter professional. If Word of Faith does not have a certified or trained counselor within our ministry to handle a situation, then we will refer you to one.

BUSINESS WORK:

At Word of Faith, financial decisions will be discussed and made with the appropriate financial/business professionals in the ministry. This is a highly spiritual and professional area of ministry. People in this area must be committed to exploring additional financial opportunities for Word of Faith and Word of Faith CDC (via grants, sponsorships and other business opportunities) and should have a financial or business background. The business professionals are charged with making sound decisions, because those decisions will provide the necessary opportunities and resources needed in order to impact the community. These individuals are charged with making decisions that are not solely based on their heart; it must consider its understanding and knowledge of the situation and be led by God to make the right decision for the church and community.
