Minister Patricka D. Brown is the First Lady of Word of Faith Christian Ministries (WOFCM) and the President of Word of Faith Community Development Corporation.  In the Fall of 1996, she was invited to a Family & Friends service at Grace Praise & Worship Center and from that point her life has never been the same.  She gave her life to God and she has been walking in the newness of life given to her by Jesus Christ, ever since.  As a result of her transformation, Minister Brown has adopted 2 Corinthians 5:17 as her inspirational scripture.  “Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away, behold all things are become new.”  

Minister Brown was Ordained in 2005 at WOFCM as a Minister of the Gospel.  Part of her responsibility includes, counseling, training and leading the women (married and unmarried) and teenage girls at Word of Faith. 

Due to her direct and indirect experience with women issues, God has compelled her to covenant with Women.  Through her obedience to God and her compassion for Women, the “House of Inspiration” was born.  The House of Inspiration program is designed for women and it provides advocacy, training, ongoing mental, physical and spiritual support (hand holding), resources and referrals to women who are seeking to create, sustain, and grow their lives, families and relationships.  The House of Inspiration program provides support that will help women overcome their past and their present, and take advantage of the opportunities to build a much better and brighter future for them and their family.

In her professional career, Minister Brown has spent approximately 15 years in various mortgage related positions.  Those positions include Loan Coordinator, Processor, Home Loan Center Supervisor, Mortgage Underwriter and Mortgage Broker.  Due to her financial and credit background, Minister Brown conducts budget and credit workshops in conjunction with WOFCM’s Finance Department.

In addition to Minister Brown’s spiritual and professional responsibilities, she is the loving wife of Pastor Jonathan B. Brown and the proud mother of two wonderful children, Matthew and Jordan.

Through her personal experiences, Minister Brown has learned to hold her head up, in spite of her past and she has learned to embrace God’s love and plan for her life.  She typifies what Paul wrote in Philippians 1:6, understanding that God is not through with her yet.  “Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Christ Jesus.”
