Pastor Jonathan Brown Print

Jonathan B. Brown was born in Riviera Beach on January 2, 1973 to Verna Rellford.  As an only child and from a single parent household, he understands the value of having a strong mother in his life.    Although Johnny was brought up in church all his life, he gave his life to Christ on September 15, 1992 at Christ Within (an on Campus Ministry located at Eastern Michigan University).

As a child, Johnny recognized the hand of God on his life.  Growing up without a natural father and enduring the emotional pains associated with that, he quickly gravitated to God and  accepted him, his Father and Christ as his Savior.

During his years of college, he acknowledged God’s purpose of ministry on his life.  Through the support of his Spiritual Fathers (Pastor Marvin L. Winans and Elder Ronald Winans), his Spiritual Brothers (Christopher Allen, Courtney Lotts, James Lowe and Michael Thomas) and many others he accepted his calling as a minister.  Upon graduating from college in June 1996, he moved back to Riviera Beach where he served as Youth Pastor under Reverend Kenneth Bowling, Grace Praise & Worship Center, West Palm Beach. A few years later he was        ordained as a Minister of the Gospel, under Pastor Robert Watford, New Life Evangelistic    Fellowship, West Palm Beach.

On November 21, 1997, Pastor married his high school dream girl, Patricka D. Richmond.  Through this marriage God blessed them by allowing them to become the parents of two anointed children, Matthew and Jordan.  Through the tireless support, help and strength of Tricka, God’s plan for his life (their life) became clearer.

As a native of Riviera Beach, Florida, he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business   Administration from Eastern Michigan University and he is a graduate of the National Forum For Black Public Administrators, Executive Leadership Institute.

In addition to his spiritual charge, Pastor Brown currently serves as the Housing & Community Development Manager for the City of Fort Lauderdale.  Prior to his current position, Pastor worked for Palm Beach County as the County’s Affordable Housing Manager.  Other professional positions Pastor held included Loan Manager in the Economic Development Office of Palm Beach County, Assistant Vice President and Financial Center/Bank Manager for Washington Mutual Bank, Check Cashing Store Manager, Public Assistance Specialist for the Department of Children and Family Services (DCF) and Recreation Specialist for the City of West Palm Beach Department of Leisure Services.
